Hex Votive

These hex votives were welded out of mild sheet steel. They were sanded to a satin sheen, treated with a black patina, burnished with steel wool to bring out subtle highlights, and waxed to protect from rust. Due to their hexagonal shape, they tesselate with one another, throwing unusual patterns of shadows.
